PS1 Hexametaphosphate Crystal Cartridge prevents scale and rust buildup. This filter can be used with ionizers, water heaters, air conditioning equipment, and many other types of water processing equipment. Food-grade hexametaphosphate dissolves slowly in water to treat scale, corrosion, and iron problems at various flow rates and feed concentrations. Filter includes outside housing for either counter top or under-sink. Please call us to order your desired housing at 303-908-9407. All materials are FDA grade. Maximum temperature is 100°F (38°C). Cartridge is made from polypropylene (PP) shell with a polyester pad pre-filter. Water being treated should have no more than 257 mg/L hardness, with a pH range of 6.5 to 9.0. Filter by itself is $48.00.
